Red Dead Redemption & Undead Nightmare current gen release

Today Rockstar delivered some strange news to the point some wander if they are rage baiting. Red Dead Redemption & Undead Nightmare will become coming to Netflix, iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on 2nd December.

While I look forward to playing RDR and UDN on my phone, especially due to the amount I travel, this does seem like a strange announcement, considering they just announced they are delaying GTA VI. While it is nice to see the game getting continued support, many had hopped that RDR 2 would’ve come to PS5 before RDR due to it being the newer release and arguably the most relevant to current gamers.

The game will be available to Netflix subscribers and mobile users will get a version with specialised controls.

PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will get a 60fps , enhanced image quality, HDR support and up to 4K resolution. Switch 2 players will get DLSS, HDR, mouse controls and 60fps.

PS4, Switch and digital Xbox One users can utilise a free upgrade to current gen.

In the grand scheme of things this is a nice release but would have been better received had RDR2 already received this treatment and we hadn’t just received news of a delay for GTA VI.
